Organizing Physical Mediumship Circles
Susan has been practicing Spiritualism and natural law for years. In this presentation, she explains how to set up physical circles, in which remarkable phenomena occur such as objects flying around the room, people in spirit speaking, tables levitating and people materializing. She explains the protocols people must follow to result in the physical activities. Susan has sat in physical circles and tutored developing physical/trance mediums. She has designed a personal home for physical seances in Lily Dale, New York. She sits with spirit photographer Shannon Taggart to capture physical phenomena on film. Susan has transfiguration and table tipping photos of herself and other mediums.”

Weighing of the Heart: What Happens in the Life Review?
Alan’s “Weighing of the Heart” presentation explains how the ancient Egyptian religion’s concept of weighing of the heart matches the life review, which has now been verified by our best NDE science. He also explains from the scriptures that Saint Paul talks about his personal near death experience on the road to Damascus (in 2 Corinthians 12), and even uses the phrase “out-of-body.” He shows that Paul’s NDE experience is ignored by both the Protestant and Catholic churches. Instead, the churches use the second-hand account of St. Paul’s experience in the Gospel of Luke. But Luke was not present at this event in Paul’s life, and being only a later follower of St. Paul, he is reporting hearsay evidence.
Alan also describes how Job, in the oldest extant copies of the Hebrew scripture (Job 19:25 and following) appears to have a visceral knowledge of the near-death experience that later versions lose in translation. In most current translations, the NDE concept is lost entirely.
Finally, Alan will explain what our scientific data seems to show about the possibility of reincarnation and past lives. The re-entry of the soul into the body after an NDE is itself an act of re-incarnation. “Incarnation” is defined as “embodiment in the flesh,” so since the soul goes out of the body in the NDE, when it returns it actually re-incarnates.
The NDE may also point to the validity of the concept of reincarnation. The “children who remember past lives” work at University of Virginia has no data indicating that every consciousness is destined to experience this, nor does our current data “prove” that these past life memories actually are derived from that consciousness having actually lived that past life.
Alan closes with the fact that the scientific method (our best reasoning to date) requires us to incorporate all the data we find and verify into our chosen hypothesis. And that if we are going to be scientific, we must choose beliefs that square with our scientific data, or choose to live with cognitive dissonance.
